There is nothing much to say on this – the taste of the pudding is in the eating thereof.
I consider myself reasonably capable when in comes to using R’s base graphics system, but ggplot2 always looked like an enigma to me. I admire the brilliant author a lot, but I just couldn’t understand a word he said or wrote on this great package he developed (his other books that I read, Advanced R and R Packages, I found to be both comprehensible and useful).
If you’re a fellow “struggler”, please take a look at this tutorial. It was a massive eye-opener for me!
